Are you feeling nervous about being awkward on your photosession? You don't know how to behave or what to do?
Well, don't worry, I've got you covered.

From my side, I will do anything to make you feel comfortable in my presence. I will chat with you throughout the entire session, ask you questions to get to know you better and to distract you from feeling nervous, I will get silly with your kids, and I will gently guide you through the process giving you suggestions on where to go and what to do.

But there are a few things that you can do yourself that will make a ton of difference to the session itself and of course to your photos.

Here are my top tips for you to have a successful photosession:

Move around... a lot!

Movement is key for dynamic and natural looking photos. If you don't want to look stiff in your photos, keep moving! Imagine that you are on a day out with your family having quality time. Or at home having a relaxing weekend.

Be silly, playing with your kids or tickling your partner! Chase each other, lift each other up, dance around or roll in the grass - whatever you do, don't stop moving. And most of all, laugh and have as much fun as possible!

Relax & Enjoy

Please don't stress about your kids not wanting to "behave" or sit in one spot. I am a mother of a toddler, I know first-hand that kids have their own "plans". Just let them do their thing, show interest in what they are doing and join them, they will be happier this way, and I will make sure to capture your interactions and their character in the best way.

Affection is key

I cannot emphasise this enough, try to be as close as possible to one another at all times! Hold hands, caress each other, kiss each other, and touch your foreheads or noses together. Any shows of affection are not only welcome, but encouraged! It will make you forget about awkwardness and it will highlight the connection and love between you in your photos.

Choose outfits wisely

The purpose of the photoshoot is to document your connection with your loved ones, or an important milestone in your life. Nothing should distract from that when looking at the photos.

You don't have to all wear the same colour, but choosing the colours that complement each other will make a big difference to the feel of your photos. Also, make sure you wear something comfortable to walk and sit on the ground/grass in.
